The Pasture

The Pasture

Original Text
Robert Frost, North of Boston, 2nd edn. (New York: Henry Holt, 1915), p. [9]. PS 3511 R94N6 ROBA.
1I'm going out to clean the pasture spring;
2I'll only stop to rake the leaves away
3(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
5I'm going out to fetch the little calf
6That's standing by the mother. It's so young,
7It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
8I sha'n't be gone long.--You come too.
