Sonnet 64
Original Text
SHAKE-SPEARES SONNETS (London: G. Eld for T. T. and sold by William Aspley, 1609): e2r.
1When I have seen by time's fell hand defaced
3When sometime lofty towers I see down razed
5When I have seen the hungry ocean gain
6Advantage on the kingdom of the shore,
7And the firm soil win of the watery main,
11Ruin hath taught me thus to ruminate
12That time will come and take my love away.
14 But weep to have that which it fears to lose.
