CO-EDITOR (1963)
Robert S. Woof obtained his undergraduate degree at Oxford and his Ph.D. from Toronto in 1959. He taught at the Department of English in University College from 1958 to 1961. During this time he co-edited, with Kathleen Coburn, the selections from Coleridge for Representative Poetry (1962). He joined the English Department at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (England) in 1961, and in 1991 became the first Director of the Wordsworth Trust, Centre for British Romanticism, Dove Cottage, Grasmere (England). He is a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).
