2As they must needs (the sister and the brother),
3Then must the love be great 'twixt thee and me,
4 Because thou lov'st the one, and I the other.
6Upon the lute doth ravish human sense;
7Spenser to me, whose deep conceit is such
8 As, passing all conceit, needs no defence.
9 Thou lov'st to hear the sweet melodious sound
10That Ph{oe}bus' lute (the queen of music), makes;
11And I in deep delight am chiefly drown'd
12Whenas himself to singing he betakes.
13 One god is god of both (as poets feign),
14 One knight loves both, and both in thee remain.
