1When Nature made her chiefe worke, Stellas eyes,
3Would she in beamie black, like painter wise,
4Frame daintiest lustre, mixt of shades and light?
5Or did she else that sober hue deuise,
7Least if no vaile these braue gleames did disguise,
8They sun-like should more dazle then delight?
9Or would she her miraculous power show,
10That whereas blacke seemes Beauties contrary,
11She euen in blacke doth make all beauties flow?
12Both so and thus, she minding Loue should be
14To honour all their deaths, who for her bleed.
