3Melodious songs he oft did pour,
4And high was his Excelsior.
5He shows us in his psalm of life
6The folly of our selfish strife;
7With Hiawatha we bewail
8His suffering in great Indian tale;
9Indian nation was forlorn
10Till great spirit planted corn.
