Mother, I cannot Mind my Wheel

Mother, I cannot Mind my Wheel

Original Text
Walter Savage Landor, Simonidea (1806).
2      My fingers ache, my lips are dry:
3Oh! if you felt the pain I feel!
4      But Oh, who ever felt as I!
5No longer could I doubt him true;
6      All other men may use deceit:
7He always said my eyes were blue,
8      And often swore my lips were sweet.
