1Mark lobbed a pitchfork across the pool

2toward a cat he thought was Kate’s

3after Kate drove over Mark’s family dog

4totally on purpose.

5Kate hated Mark’s mom, but had no quarrel

6with their dog which double-thumped beneath her Focus

7and Kate--for the third time that morning--puked.

8Still, Mark just wound up feeling worse

9when the pitchfork he hurled

10at Kate’s trespassing tom

11punctured the calf of his sunbathing mom.
