Deus Abconditus
Deus Abconditus
Original Text
S. P. Zitner, The Hunt on the Lagoon (Fredericton, N.B.: Goose Lane, 2005): 64.
2to uncurl the clubfoot or forestall dementia,
3nor does He rise in parliament or in the street
4to strip the rhetoric that flattens cities,
5nor does He enter intimate rooms at midnight
6to unsay the unforgivable,
7yet all His absences cry out,
8evoking human charity.
