Astrophel and Stella: 49

Original Text
The Countesse of Pembrokes Arcadia written by Sir Philip Sidney, Knight. Now the third time published with sundry new additions of the same author. Edinburgh: Printed by Robert Walde-graue, 1599. STC 22542.
1I on my horse, and Loue on me doth trie
2Our horsemanships, while by strange worke I proue
3A horseman to my horse, a horse to Loue;
4And now mans wrongs in me poore beast descrie.
5The raine wherewith my Rider doth me tie,
6Are humbled thoughts, which bit of reuerence moue,
8Of Hope, which makes it seeme faire to the eye.
9The Wand is Will, thou Fancie Saddle art,
10Girt fast by memorie, and while I spurre
11My horse, he spurres with sharp desire my hart:
13And now hath made me to his hand so right,
