2man and his puny buildings down,
3without bitterness,
4on this side street in Kobe,
5rescue workers with swift
6tender, caring hands,
7give man's answer back.

1] On January 17, 1995, for twenty seconds, the Hyogo-Ken Nanbu earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale, killed over 5,500 people, injured more than 26,000, and left 300,000 homeless in and near the Japanese city of Kobe. Back to Line
