Original Text:

Wendy Agnew, "#36," The Lillian Lectures (Toronto: Coach House Books, 1998).

Mothers got breasts
ya know why?
'cause a human baby
tries to push it's way out the chest first
and it keeps rammin' its head
from the inside
(till dents form)
finally it tires
and swims down to the vajina
by then
the horns are all thunked off
I wish I was a rhino
they go out the right hole
first time
