L'oiseau bleu

L'oiseau bleu

Original Text
Mary E. Coleridge, Poems (London: Elkin Mathews, 1918). PR 6005 O3P6 1918 Robarts Library
1The lake lay blue below the hill.
2    O'er it, as I looked, there flew
3Across the waters, cold and still,
4    A bird whose wings were palest blue.
5The sky above was blue at last,
6    The sky beneath me blue in blue.
7A moment, ere the bird had passed,
8    It caught his image as he flew.
