Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834)

Fragment 1: Sea-ward, white gleaming thro' the busy scud

1Sea-ward, white gleaming thro' the busy scud
2With arching Wings, the sea-mew o'er my head
3Posts on, as bent on speed, now passaging
4Edges the stiffer Breeze, now, yielding, drifts,
5Now floats upon the air, and sends from far
              6A wildly-wailing Note.

Notes

1] Undated.
