Walter Savage Landor (1775-1864)

Do you Remember me? or are you Proud?

1"Do you remember me? or are you proud?"
2Lightly advancing thro' her star-trimm'd crowd,
3      Ianthe said, and lookt into my eyes,
4"A yes, a yes, to both: for Memory
5Where you but once have been must ever be,
6      And at your voice Pride from his throne must rise."
