1Jenny kissed me when we met,

2 Jumping from the chair she sat in;

3Time, you thief, who love to get

4 Sweets into your list, put that in:

5Say I'm weary, say I'm sad,

6 Say that health and wealth have missed me,

7Say I'm growing old, but add,

8 Jenny kissed me.

1] The Jenny of the poem is said to have been Jane Welsh Carlyle, wife of Thomas Carlyle.
